The WhipWatch began as an idea 25-years ago to assist in conditioning horses for three-day eventing and is now about to be released in the US, Canada, and Europe as an all-around training device for riders of all disciplines.
WhipWatch combines a quality Irish made whip with an easy-read digital clock to provide accurate timing of any equestrian sport or training activity. The custom module (timer) was designed with stopwatch and programmable countdown features, in addition to an alarm and real time.
Riders can easily activate WhipWatch features without compromising hand position by sliding a thumb to the start button on the timer’s housing. The countdown device features audible beeps at each minute, allowing eventers to accurately gage their cross-country time.
The stop watch feature counts from zero up, allowing riders to time interval training, jump courses, barrel racing or any type of point-to-point equestrian sport. Real time allows riders the freedom of trail riding or schooling without the use of a wristwatch buried under layers of clothing during winter riding. The programmable alarm serves as a wake-up call for overnight pack rides, but also can be used to signal its whereabouts if lost in the barn or dropped on the trail. Its battery is replaceable and WhipWatch is water and shock resistant.
WhipWatch was invented by NARHA Registered Instructor Robin Parow based on a need she recognized over two decades ago while conditioning a horse for three-day eventing. Over the past two years, she brought the idea to fruition by refining and patenting the design.
